Hair loss affects some 25 percent of men in their 20s and two thirds of all men after the age of 60. Male pattern baldness does not have any intrinsic side effect aside from hair loss so many simply consider it a cosmetic medical condition, but for those who suffer from it, the effects can be devastating, with social and psychological consequences.
Hair transplant techniques have steadily improved over time, but now a revolutionary technique called Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) has taken treatment to a new standard. Dr. Chris Bisanga has been at the forefront of its development over the last ten years.
Without a trace
“Unlike traditional techniques FUE does not leave a linear scar,” says Dr. Bisanga, Medical Director at BHR Clinic in Brussels. “FUE is the use of a micro punch (under 0.75mm in diameter) that encompasses a single follicular unit (FU) or ‘graft’. Each graft contains one to four hairs and when healed it can leave no visible signs or marks; a patient can even shave their hair and no one would know.”
FUE is generally better suited to smaller procedures – such as hair line design – as each extraction is manually performed to ensure the highest standards are achieved. This is labour intensive, however, and restricts the number of grafts available in one procedure. Higher hair loss cases are not always suitable for full restoration with FUE alone and it is important the candidate is made aware of this before starting with a hair transplant.
Dr. Chris Bisanga has showcased many results over the last ten years at seminars, conferences and via the internet. He has shown FUE to be a proven technique in the correct hands; Dr. Bisanga’s reputation for artistic skills, dedication and medical ability attracts patients worldwide.
A good reputation
“Dr. Bisanga has the highest degree of ethics, because that is who he is as a person. He is an absolute master at what he does. This is a skill that can only be honed from years of hard work and repetition, along with being gifted with a natural ability. It’s no wonder that other doctors seek to be trained by him and learn the secret to his skill.” M.S from US.
Dr. Bisanga always advises potential patients to conduct their own research and use independent hair loss forums such as www.hairlossexperiences.com if they are looking for information.
