KwaZulu-Natal’s Dolphin coast sees subtropical forests merge with the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. It is here that guests of the Fairmont Zimbali Lodge take pleasure in the rich tradition of Fairmont hospitality that the Zimbali Lodge offers. Attention to detail is the key to ensuring that moments are turned into lasting memories for all guests.

The Fairmont Zimbali Lodge boasts lavish accommodation in an arrangement of 86 Fairmont resort rooms, signature view rooms, deluxe suites and forest suites. All rooms offer balconies with views into the natural indigenous surroundings. Guests are invigorated in the quaint and secluded spa, or spend a challenging day on the scenic 18-hole Tom Weiskopf- designed golf course, followed by retiring to one of two swimming pool decks where freshly produced traditional cuisine is served.
 
Food and beverage
The Fairmont executive food and beverage experiences are offered in a variety of areas including the Thandi Restaurant, the Fountain Court and the Crowned Eagle Restaurant at the Zimbali Country Club. Light meals are served at the Valley of the Pools, whilst taking in the cool Indian Ocean sea breeze. Alternatively, guests can enjoy in-room dining in the luxury and privacy of their rooms, served by a personal butler.

Weddings and conferences
Personalised conference arrangements are made for business clientele in five state-of-the-art meeting rooms that can cater for up to 90 delegates.

With the Fairmont culture well established in the Zimbali Lodge, preparations for the opening of the new 250 million dollar Fairmont Zimbali Hotel and Resort, are well under way. The new hotel is situated on the southern tip of the Zimbali Coastal Resort. Overlooking the warm and welcoming Indian Ocean. The Fairmont Zimbali Hotel and Resort is a world class, five-star, 157-suite hotel. It includes conference facilities, a Willow Stream Spa, beach club, restaurants and wellness centre.

Activities
The Fairmont Zimbali Lodge and the new Hotel, are situated 45 minutes north of the city of Durban, the east coast of South Africa. Activities within or near the secure Zimbali Coastal Resort include golf, horseback riding, mountain biking, tennis, forest walks, cultural tours, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, micro-lighting and dolphin viewing tours.

Other activities within a three hour radius of the Zimbali Coastal Resort, include Big Five Game Viewing at Hluhluwe. The Isimangaliso Wetland Park near St Lucia, which is a world Heritage Site. The Historical Zulu Battlefields in the Kwa Zulu Natal Midlands and the majestic Drakensburg Mountains.
