Spanish Hideaways is a family run business established 3.5 years ago offering a more personal level of service and expertise than some of the larger estate agencies.

The company is based on the Poligono Industrial area on the outskirts of Arboleas, a thriving small town 30 minutes from the coastal resorts of Mojacar and Garrucha.

The owner, staff and their families live in the area and have an excellent in-depth knowledge of the local property market and also provide excellent pre and post sales support.

Spanish Hideaways pride themselves on their integrity and reliability by ensuring that they only sell fully legal properties. Each property is fully checked by the owner and the company’s legal team prior to adding it to the portfolio.

Spanish Hideaways provide a professional, honest and customer oriented service with an added benefit that as they are a family run business their commission charges are low (a plus for both buyers and sellers)

Costa Almeria in Andalucia
Andalucia has been a favourite destination for those that love the sun for decades due to an average of over 320 days of sun a year, and the lowest rainfall in all of Europe. It is also renowned for it’s gorgeous sandy beaches, lovely Mediterranean cuisine, and friendly locals.
In the eastern corner of Andalucia is the province of Almeria. The landscape is varied from the snow capped mountains (January and February) of the Los Velez mountain range situated only an hour from the coast, near the towns of Velez Rubio and Velez Blanco, to the semi-arid desert of Tabernas, where the famous spaghetti westerns were once filmed.

Almeria City
The city of Almeria faces the sea, and is a lively town offering plenty of varied accommodation; good value places to eat and drink; plenty of night life, including late night marquees on the beach; art galleries, museums and shops as well as historical buildings and monuments. It has its own beach and others nearby are easily accessible.
The town stretches out beneath a steep hill, dominated by a magnificent Moorish fort, the Alcazaba. Amongst the many ancient buildings in the town the Alcazaba de Almeria is literally the most outstanding, overlooking the town and the sea.

Next to Mojacar is the wonderful fishing port of Garrucha. The busy fishing port has been the lifeblood of this town for hundreds of years and still forms a substantial part of the commerce in the area. There are plenty of restaurants in this town where you can enjoy the freshest fish cooked in a variety of Spanish styles all day long. The beaches of Garrucha have also been awarded the blue flag for the lovely clean beaches. With its 2km promenade made of marble, with little gardens and children’s play areas, it is a great place to relax.

Villaricos
Situated in a charming and tranquil port only 10km from the main port of Garrucha. Its name derived from the silver mines in the area. It has a weekly Tuesday market and its livestock fairs have made it the trade centre of the area. The surrounding countryside offers walking, horse riding, cycling and off-roading.

Arboleas
