Established in 1919, Auburn Adventist Academy is a private coeducational Christian boarding and day high school, operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. With a vibrant spiritual atmosphere, superior academics, and a friendly, accepting student body, Auburn is the perfect place to pursue educational excellence.
Auburn’s school family, with a population of 300+ in grades nine through to 12, is made up of students from all over the world. Young people have travelled from all over the USA, Canada, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Mexico, and Indonesia to attend AAA. “It’s so good to be at Auburn” said Miki Kutsuma of Tokyo, Japan. “When I first arrived, I didn’t speak any English at all. I made great friends who helped me learn. My English has improved 100 percent since coming to Auburn.”
As students grow academically, the impact of being a part of a worldwide school family is life changing. “It’s really cool having international students at AAA” said Jin Kang of Federal Way, WA. “I’ve had the chance to make friends from all over the world.” Four-year senior, Eric Bing commented “I love Auburn’s diversity. You feel comfortable with who you are here.”
Reputation
Auburn’s solid academic reputation is built on its skilled, experienced teachers and high-quality facilities. From the classroom to the swimming pool, the ski slopes to the science lab, Auburn stands out. Want to perfect your cooking skills? Take culinary arts classes. Interested in extreme sports? Take scuba diving, snowboarding, or rock climbing. Does music interest you? Take private music lessons or join Wind Ensemble, String Ensemble, Concert Choir, or Sylvan Chorale. The opportunities are endless at AAA.
Extra-curricular
Additionally, students enjoy a variety of extra-curricular activities on campus. After school, students enjoy playing sports like football, basketball, tennis, and volleyball. Joining the History, English, Chess, or International clubs on campus give students the chance to go on additional field trips and outings. Weekends are filled by service projects, planned school activities, trips to town, and religious services.
At AAA students experience a safe, rural environment. The academy prides itself on its dormitory programme and the family atmosphere on campus. “It’s been really fun living in the dorm” said junior student Stephanie Roberts. “My roommate and I have become such great friends and though I am far from home, I feel comfortable here.”
Growth
Auburn Adventist Academy’s international perspective, Christian values, excellence in education, and welcoming atmosphere offers abundant opportunities for young people to grow. AAA further places a special emphasis on student leadership, service to others, and personal integrity. Best of all, Auburn’s campus is a welcoming place where teenagers of all backgrounds and races make friends that will last a lifetime. As one faculty member put it, “AAA is creating a global family and in turn, making a big impact on our world!”
