Sitting with your eyes closed in a large concert hall, the music surrounds you completely and you sense a great richness and presence. From fortissimo the orchestra ebbs to pianissimo, while you relax and enjoy the concert. Every nuance of the violin solo, every jewel-like note of the harp comes through clearly and uninterrupted; even the timpani sound subtle and soft, in spite of their volume.

You open your eyes and you are sitting on your sofa in your lounge, listening to a system installed by H+M: one of the best systems available on the market, perfectly installed allowing for ergonomic and acoustic considerations. That’s why the company’s motto is ‘Better than live’.
At the company’s headquarters to the north of Bremen, a customer can experience the full potential of modern TV and HiFi components and see how they can be unobtrusively integrated into furnishings, walls and ceilings, in a showroom specially-designed to resemble the salon of a large yacht. Drawing on long years of experience, H+M has developed the technology to equip yachts and properties – including properties with more than 250 rooms – seamlessly with entertainment equipment which all draws in parallel on one and the same core unit; technology that boasts a long list of references.

Unique technology

Video signals – like HDMI, VGA/DVI, Component, Composite or SP-DIF – are first of all enhanced to HD-SDI (High Definition Serial Digital Interface) and then transferred using embedded 7.1 audio surround signals via fibre optic cable instead of the copper, silver or gold cable formerly used which allows coverage up to 7,000 m/23,000 ft without deterioration. No other technology offers these advantages and at present it is unique to H+M. This matrix installed centrally in a server room sends both digital and analogue signals to the individual rooms via high-quality control systems made by Crestron or AMX.

The high-end receivers display high-resolution images with crystal-clear sound which will thrill you: it will give an entirely new meaning to the term entertainment for you and your guests. Even better: the technology is unobtrusive. When the film ends, the screen disappears silently into the ceiling, behind a painting, into a table or sideboard, whatever you prefer; it makes no difference whether the screen size is 15 or 103 inches. The special lift system was developed by H+M and are state-of-the-art.

No other lift system offers you so many advantages: low-noise, stability, elegant design, use of space, pivoting up to 270 degrees, speed and ease of use. H+M has already installed five hundred of these systems in yachts, private properties and luxury hotels.

Touch sensitive

The entire audio-video system is operated by a handy touch panel. Its intuitive user-interface is entirely self-explanatory and easy even for beginners and it offers a virtual iPod for music, audio books or Podcasts. There are several storage and mounting arrangements available for the touch-panels as well, designed to fit in with the furnishings.H+M can also design and integrate the individual control of lighting, curtains, blinds, or air-conditioning systems for you, achieving valuable synergies with its installation.

These can offer special one-touch programs for frequent parallel commands, such as a bedside lamp on, close curtain, air-conditioning to sleep temperature. H+M can also advise you on all security matters, and install CCTV and deck sensors, with access controls, which offer transmission from the security monitors on board to the home or vice versa using specially-programmed satellite systems.

What is more, you can easily split one large monitor into up to 16 images and thus control several camera images at once.

The complete package

In addition H+M can install entire communications systems on board or at home, including SatCom systems for TV and telecoms, or complex internal networks/private automatic branch exchanges. The satellite system can be designed so that your mobile receives a signal at all times on the normal network, even on the high seas.
