Regarded as Bulgaria's premier ski destination offering guaranteed snow the resort boasts 65km of marked ski runs which are situated on the Todorka Mountain

The peak of the mountain is 2746 metres and the medieval town of Bansko is situated 936 metres above sea level. Situated on the same line of latitude as Barcelona, Bansko’s summer climate is very warm with temperatures reaching as high as 29ºC. The old town of Bansko is over 700 years old and houses many traditional Bulgarian restaurants which serve a range of local cuisines. Famous for its red wine you can go out for a three course meal with drinks and pay as little as £10 per head. The charming town and beautiful setting’s of cobbled streets and rustic buildings makes the area a hidden gem within Bulgaria.

Having recently gone through a €100 million investment the resort is set to increase to 150km the number of ski runs within the next three years. After taking a ride up the mountain in the gleaming blue Doppelmaur gondola over the blanket of pine trees you’re suddenly faced with beautifully groomed pistes and a selection of brand new ski lifts. The restaurant facilities and medical centres are brand new and the excellent après ski makes Bansko a lively holiday destination. Its fantastic crystal snow and tall green trees coupled with exceptional views of the Pirin, Rila and Rhodopi mountains make the scenery out of this world.

Addison Read International Properties specialise in selling investment properties in Bansko and have sold over 1500 units to date. The resort is marketed as an all year round rental with their ski season running from December to April. There has been a lot of investment put into the summer activities. The Ian Woosnam championship golf course is due to complete next year which helps with making Bansko one of the leading investment opportunities in Bulgaria today. Property prices are rising and the tourism trade is growing, allowing property investors to earn big returns in capital growth as well as a strong rental yield which covers the costs of their purchase and their apartment running costs.

Addison Read market apartments situated within a hotel type complex. The developments have a number of facilities like 24 hour reception areas, SPA and Wellness centres, swimming pools, internet, tennis courts and many more. This attracts leading tour operators who are responsible for generating the tourists to stay in the complex.

Addison Read only deals with reputable developers who are well established with property portfolios of completed projects.

With prices starting as little as £35,000 you should catch Bansko while prices are still low. With them joining the EU in January 2007 property prices are set to increase allowing Bansko to benefit from easy access routes and cheap flights.
