Anyone who hankers after the Caribbean as it used to be, where it is still possible to experience all the delights of island life at a relaxed pace and enjoy gracious service, should head for Nisbet Plantation Beach Club in Nevis

Nisbet Plantation Beach Club reflects the qualities that make Nevis so special with the charm and character of the ‘old Caribbean’, a peaceful atmosphere and warm, friendly people.

This boutique hotel has just 36 air-conditioned rooms located in plantation-style cottages in 30 acres of grounds and is the only plantation property in the Caribbean with its own stretch of white sand beach.

The hotel’s history stretches back to the 18th century when it was a coconut plantation and the family home of Fanny Nisbet who met and married naval hero, Lord Nelson, when he was based in the Caribbean. Today visitors can still see some of the original features of the plantation such as the Great House which now houses a fine dining restaurant and bar. During 2005 renovation works also uncovered the original large outdoor ovens and the sugar mill.

In the last year, Nisbet Plantation has invested in renovation work to ensure guests enjoy all the comforts of a modern top class hotel. As part of this work, all the bedrooms were upgraded, a new fitness centre was created along with a mini spa.
