Egyptian Experience is leading the way in property development under the gaze of the legendary Tutankhamen
Egypt is a country full of mystery, history and intrigue, beautiful sandy beaches, unspoiled coral reefs and sun everyday of the year, which makes it no surprise investors are drawn from all over Europe to take a stake in the overseas property market in the country. With Egypt still an emerging market in terms of property, prices remain good for the investor, and unlike other places around the world, have continued to grow despite the global economic downturn.Swim with the fishes
Egypt also continues to be a destination of choice for holidaymakers and is one of the few countries around that can claim to offer something for everyone. The Red Sea Riviera has some fantastic dive sites but so much can also be seen snorkelling on the surface, with an abundance of beautiful coloured fish amongst the amazing coral. Nearby Sharm el Sheikh is a young city where only 25 percent of the land can be built upon, with new developments restricted to just three storeys high.
One-bedroom properties can be found from £29,000 to villas for around $3.1m. The building restrictions give the area a sense of exclusivity meaning compared with Hurghada, a city for over 100 years with over 65 percent of land developed upon in some areas, which makes the land not quite as attractive, despite it’s rich history as a fishing port. As an emerging market, Egypt also does not restrict investors with Capital Gains or Inheritance tax.
Historic attractions
Luxor is the latest popular place to invest. A tourist destination for over 100 years, Luxor has a sixth of the world’s ancient heritage, the Temples of Luxor and Karnak and on the west bank of the Nile, the Valley of the Kings and Queens and Tutankhamen’s tomb. Egyptian Experience were the first developers in Luxor for overseas investors, and their Luxor Resort, situated on the banks of the River Nile, has continued to attract investors.
Given Egypt’s ancient heritage, touring the country will stimulate the mind, captivate the heart and steal the soul.
Property is well built as after all, the Egyptians have the reputation of building property that lasts for centuries. Egypt also possesses a wonderful all year round climate and is becoming well known as a winter sun resort, with the added benefit of only being only four and a half hours by plane away from the UK.
On the recreational side, golf in Egypt is as good as fanatics can get anywhere in the world. The Red Sea beaches are a wonderful place to relax and unwind before careering into the water to swim with the Dolphins. The more adventurous can trek through the magnificent Sinai Mountains and with a choice of walking or riding on camels or horses.
