H+M have developed, manufactured and installed custom television lifting and concealment systems since the year 2000

Unsatisfied with the equipment on offer in the marketplace at that time, H+M set about developing systems that are unique in their versatility of turning for better viewing angles, quality, quietness and reliability. H+M hold the worldwide patent on this type of television lifting and concealment system and they are installed in more than 500 yachts, aircraft and houses.

The systems are under continual development to provide even better solutions and functionality. Now, in the year 2007, H+M offers a system that was similarly looked for but not found in the current world market. The demand was for a product at the highest technical level and the development of a new system was necessary to offer this. As a result, H+M are now able to offer a High Definition Video Distribution system.

The goal of this system is to distribute different sources over only one transmission format to different recipients. Over this system, any of 288 source signals can feed in and configure to any of the 288 locations. The implementation possibilities for this system are clear: it corresponds to a 160m (or more) yacht in which each area should be able to have its own High Definition Video and Multi-channel Audio input.

The same type of technology can also be scaled down to offer the same quality for smaller installations. H+M offers a system that can process different signal formats and can, in turn, provide them in the required formats that different display devices need. In order to address the problem of transmission over distance, common to other forms of conventional systems, fibre optic cables are used.

This will give transmission distances of more than one km without loss of signal quality. The selection of which source signal is displayed in a location can be controlled by a Touch Panel System such as Crestron or AMX. This is connected to the central matrix switch which forms the heart of the system. Over this Touch Panel System a user can select to see or hear any source signals allowed for that location.

What is an added bonus to this system is that, although the video and audio quality of the system is as high as can be achieved, the spaced required for it is considerably less than more conventional systems.
