This unique design resort makes Portugal stand out as the ultimate golf and leisure destination

This Bom Sucesso design resort is collecting an incredible number of prestigious international prizes – like the CNBC European Property Award 2008 – and it’s easy to see why…the golf course is a Donald Steel 18 holes Championship Golf Course, facing the Óbidos lagoon and just a wink away from the sea. The 17th and 18th holes for instance, are especially breathtaking and quite challenging.

We don’t want to sound unrealistic, but we feel that Bom Sucesso’s 18-hole golf course is going to be one of the most exciting golf courses in Europe. The golf course is situated in Portugal (near Lisbon), where winter golf is a pleasure and where family summer vacations are ideal, due to the beautiful local beaches and the amazing villas with pools.

But don’t be fooled, this project has so much more to offer besides its really special golf course. You get the chance to walk around in a living and breathing museum of contemporary architecture, with the signatures of some of the best national and international architects, like Álvaro Siza Vieira, Eduardo Souto Moura, David Chipperfield and Josep Llinás, in a symbiosis between art and nature. Most of the houses are one floor and all have a grass roof. There are no walls and the construction index is less than seven percent. The 3D images of the houses Bom Sucesso made in the past were great, but people normally say the real houses are better.

All houses are fully equipped with a fireplace, dinning area, individual climate control, private terrace with garden (with lounge furniture), swimming pool, barbeque (in limited units), direct dialing phone, safety deposit box (adapted for laptops), Jacuzzi bath tubs, hairdryer, 42” flat screen TV with international channels, DVD and home cinema, HiFi music and MP3 system, high speed internet connection, fridge (freezer combi), dishwasher, oven and microwave, nespresso machine, toaster, mixer, blender, kettle, coffee maker, juice machine, iron and ironing board. All the guests also have access to 24 hour security, heliport, concierge services, a welcome pack on arrival, playground, housekeeping, business center, rental car services, limousine services, shuttle service to Óbidos and the beach, beach club 5’, restaurant with take away, medical assistance and medication delivery, butler service, laundry, babysitting, catering, bread delivery, full shopping service, four tennis courts and two paddle courts, professional football pitch, jogging circuit…and much more.

If you’re a golf player, it doesn’t matter if you end the game in first or last place, here you will be happy whatever the outcome. You can count on the high standard quality of the wide range of amenities and services. And it’s impossible to forget you are in an important historical and cultural area of Portugal. The medieval town of Óbidos, with its famous walls made of stones from an ancient Roman province, offers you a rich cultural agenda, like its medieval fair.

Bom Sucesso has already conquered Europe judging from the international acceptance, by the quantity and diversity of clients, as well as the extremely positive feedback from the international press. This amazing resort is here to stay, and the prices can only go up, it’s a smart choice as the associated tourist operation for the available villas allow a return on investment.
