The luxury Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa, opened last year is fast securing a reputation for being home to one of South Africa's finest golf courses; boasting landscape and views second to none

Located on the cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean and lagoon, adjacent to the town of Knysna on the renowned Garden Route in the Western Cape, the 18-hole Pezula championship golf course combines the best of nature with world-class facilities.

Designed by Ron Fream and David Dale from Golfplan USA (designers of Golf de Fregate - France and the Serapong Course - Singapore), the course is flanked by indigenous forest, flora and fauna and offers stunning views of the surrounding coast and mountains. It has already been compared to the likes of Pebble Beach.

The Pezula Championship Golf course is designed to include a full range of shots, making it a challenging, rewarding and complete golf experience for players of all levels.

Signature holes have been earmarked as the 13th and 14th, with their breathtaking views over the cliffs and the ocean. Club professional, Jeff Clause, describes the 13th: “Did you bring two rolls of film or an extra memory chip?

This amazing par 5 drops over 200 feet to the Indian Ocean from tee to green. Reachable with a well-positioned drive, the second shot success will be determined by the lie (level or downhill). Look back to the tee when you have tapped in for birdie ... it’s breathtaking.”

The Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa comprises 78 suites in individual lodges, offering stunning views of the mountains or the ocean.
