Unique, intimate and romantic, the Hideaway Spa encompasses four spa villas and two lagoon spa pavilions.

The spa menu has been created to fit the exclusive nature of the Hideaway Spa and to offer each guest an outstanding spa experience. It combines traditional Asian favourites with Elemis Spa-therapy and new treatments that reflect themes of the ocean, nature and indigenous Maldivians. Massages, body packs, detox and a range of body and facial treatments using “Elemis” products, together with manicures and pedicures, have all been included to ensure the ultimate in relaxation and revitalisation. The junior programme
The hugely successful Tender Hearts Kids Club at Island Hideaway is open to all kids with wide varieties of games and activities happening daily. Apart from the daily activities, there also is a library, board games, outdoor games and bicycles to ride.

The newly launched Hideaway Junior programme with its own range of weekly educational activities has also become very popular. It will keep your kids occupied and is a good learning experience for them, while making friends too.

Your junior chef will make their own delicious chocolate cake and, while it bakes, will be trained in the art of Shashimi preparation by the executive chef. You will be able to savour the tasty results of their efforts during your meal. The junior environmentalists go on a nature trail with experts from the island to explore and learn about the natural vegetation and the surroundings of Dhonakulhi. The junior marine biologist will join experts from the Meridis diving team to explore the underwater world of the island. They will explore and learn about the marine life, the house reef and its inhabitants.

Diving with Meridis
The Meridis at Island Hideaway offers one of the largest and best-equipped dive centres in the Maldives. With around 20 of the best dive sites, waiting to be explored, the surrounding waters around Island Hideaway offers you to swim with turtles, marvel at the natural underwater gardens or simply enjoying the sight of a multitude brilliantly coloured fish. If you just prefer snorkelling, the team can also offer guided snorkelling trips at the island house reef or take you to nearby house reefs on snorkelling excursions.

Meridis also offers a safe and enjoyable diving experience for children over 10 years of age, and has special “kids diving equipment” for this. Children can carry out the PADI Open Water Junior course.
