Laser Vision Correction, a project by ArtLife Ltd., was founded in order to help those with poor eyesight achieve their dreams.

Since 2007, ArtLife Ltd. has been dealing with the organisation and the administration of ophthalmic services. The company has established a project: Laser Vision Correction in Medical Centre in Sopot, Poland. In May 2008, together with Swissmed Health Centre SA, Artlife developed and expanded its offer by creating the Ophthalmology Laser Centre in Gdansk. The newly established centre is equipped with the state-of-the-art apparatus for diagnostics and for eye surgery. During the research, as well as during the treatment, disposable equipment and medical materials are used, which ensures the highest level of quality and safety. All members of staff at the Medical Centre have been carefully selected from the most prominent Polish specialists. Systematic improvement of qualifications for both physicians and nurses ensures that patients are always in good hands and under the supervision of trained, experienced and responsible staff. Both the medical procedure as well as patient handling takes place in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.

The centre’s main speciality is Laser Vision Defects Correction. Treatment methods of LASIK, SBK LASIK, Epi-LASIK and LASEK, which use ultramodern excimer lasers, enable treatment of myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism, and combinations thereof. In addition to Vision Correction, the Centre offers cataract treatments using phacoemulsification, intraocular implants with high myopia, hyperopia and presbyopia, as well as minor eye surgeries, for instance the removal of chalazion, papilloma, tufts of yellow, or pinguecula.
